MBAK is engaged in the development, manufacturing and commercialization of non fossil fuel energy products.
These include lithium, sodium and solid state batteries for industrial, medical, portable electronics and EV application. The company was founded on June 26, 2000 and is head-quartered in Wilmington, NC. It was renamed MBAK Energy Solutions in 2025. The company is comprised of world class international engineers from Europe, East Asia, India. MBAK engineers have graduate degrees and 40 % of them have PhD from MIT, Seoul National University, and Wuhan Chemical Institute.
